They have been very busy in the studio. If the album was 70% done when they dropped the single they have to be getting close. I want press about the recording process and BTS about the reunion bad.

 

maybe 70% wasn’t scientific, probably just their way of saying “we’ve got a handful of songs done but not enough for an album yet”

 

They tend to embellish quite a bit when talking about new music. “70% done” to me is more likely 30% haha.

 

The songs could have also been in various stages of completion as well (written vs recorded). Also, there’s always the possibility that they think they’re nearly done but just keep writing more than they anticipated like with NINE.

Wild to see that list of artists and the airplay they are getting in 2022. I hadn't anticipated how welcome Blink's return would be in terms of airplay and the enormity of the tour. I hope their album reflects that too. They seem to have come back at the perfect time related to the pop-punk resurgence. I haven't turned the radio on in a very long time, but I would be psyched to hear new blink in regular rotation.

I’ve always felt that the Japanese pop punk band Ellegarden comes closest to the blink sound and feel that I’m into, and they have a new album coming up. Their new song is fun. If you like this one, I’d also recommend “Salamander” and “Missing” and basically all the rest of their stuff.
