I just heard it on Australian radio and I didn't know we were still censoring things by clumsily reversing the audio around the swear word lol. haven't heard that in probably 10 years

 

That’s the best form of censorship imo.

 

Do they censor stuff in Australia. When I was there in 2016 they just said this song is explicit and then played the unedited version. Shocked me

 

Our main alternative radio station doesn't, but they do put a language warning before songs.

Our pop stations censor, but it's rare they'll play a song with explicit language anyway. Most of the time it's terrible radio jockeys with the most inane and awful banter listenable.

 

yeah I was on a small-town country station which is prolly why it was censored, even then it felt unusual but I don't listen to the radio when I can help it lol

Shit, I just bought the all black Tom DeLonge Squier Stratocaster. The one similar to what he used in the First Date video and smashed at the MTV awards show. I'm so excited about it haha. I used to have the white version and painted it like a fool 7 years ago and ended up selling it.

Honestly I’m glad they are radio silent right now, focus on making a good album and once it’s finished then talk away. No distractions this time around.

I bet we get a 2nd “single” early next year. Edging is still doing well on the charts no need to derail it.

Anyone else afraid to overlisten to Edging? I've listened maybe 10-12 times so far, but I'm holding off any more listens in case it's on the album. Don't wanna run this thing into the ground and still have 6 months to wait.

I would like a clip or two from the studio (of something other than drums) just because I love seeing that whole process. One little 3-second snippet of a song gets me infinitely more pumped on a new album than any interview could (from any band).

Plus, we haven't really haven't seen studio footage of Mark and Tom together in, what, 20 years?

 

I think there’s studio footage or at least some group interviews from when they were making DED.

 

Or maybe I’m wrong because my YouTube search for that was not successful

I really hope that when we DO eventually get an announcement and promotion that it's full-throttle.

Like the games and hidden messages we had to find for Neighborhoods and the 182 Industries posters that popped up. That stuff is so engaging and creates buzz and excitement.

I don't feel like Nine or California got a similar treatment which is a bummer.
