I think he may have stopped looking at Blink as a legacy/party band (circa 2009 reunion), and may now even see them as part of his identity, ongoing.

While they are a legacy/nostalgia/staple band, doesn't mean they still can't be relevant and important moving forward. Hope he sees that.

Damn that's a tough loss.

 

I know people were speculating, but the Almost Acoustic Christmas lineup is out and Blink is not playing.
I didnt think they'd make their return there. Would've been a good warm up show for them but it's just too far before the tour start. They're obviously writing and recording together but I'm sure they wont begin rehearsing sets until January.

 

A) that's a bummer, B) what sort of fan page leaks something like that

 

I didn't share the post cause I was iffy about it, looks like they got it from the obituary running in the paper, I wasn't sure if that makes it fair to share on a wider scale ya know

Pretty interesting read. My understanding is they just scrapped everything once they got in a groove with Feldman and it's less nefarious than Fat Mike is making it sound in this interview. You can definitely imagine blink polishing up the skeleton of this song and crushing it. I hope the Skiba-era unreleased songs see the light of day at some point.

 

definitely would love to have heard Blink's version of the song. especially since the label wanted it to be the first single. it must have been pretty great.
