What ever happened with Tom's movie, Monsters of California? Wasn't that suppose to be out this year? I haven't seen him say much about it lately.
I assume it will drop on some obscure streaming app at some point.

 

All I care about is the soundtrack.I don’t even need the movie haha

 

Yeah last I heard from the cia dude they were shopping it around to different services and should hear something soon.

 

How long of a set do you think these festival shows will be? 1 hr 15 mins?

 

KROQ is starting to tease their Almost Acoustic Christmas show. Wonder if blink will be on the bill. It would make for a good comeback show.

 

I'm adding TRVS/DJAM to our listen-a-thon this weekend. Those mixtapes were sick, and at such a hype time during the 2009 reunion.

 

Could anyone pinpoint the oldest (or essentially the first) known songs by other bands that feature mark and/or Tom?

yeah the simple plan one is weird to me, is it possible the label pushed for that? I understand the crossover appeal for Mark and the band but he didn’t seem particularly close with them like he did with some other bands

 

I think I remember hearing an interview with Mark and he discussed it. He said he met the band in the late 90s and became friendly with one of the members and they asked him and he said yes.

That’s my favorite Mark feature. Only Tom feature I can think of is that god awful Say Anything song.

 

I feel like they have to lol. My fingers are crossed for a new Xmas song too

 

Tom did that Paper Thin song a few years ago but yeah he’s only done 2 which seems strange for someone in his position unless he just doesn’t want to be bothered.

 

My favourite is Mark on Boxcar Racer’s Elevator. That Hangman one is pretty great too.

 

i think hangman is the best thing mark has ever done. i love it that much.

 

By far the best Mark’s feature.That and Paperdoll.

 

Ironically, we all must remember Hot Mulligan’s song “Featuring Mark Hoppus” does not feature Mark Hoppus.

Good song though.

There was a video on youtube floating back then with footage of Mark and Tom,including only Marks part saying it’s a new song post untitled before hiatus and it was so exciting haha
