I would be totally bummed. Matts been great with Blink and he KILLED it on Nine. An announcement that Tom is back would kinda bum me out.

I like Tom and love what he did with Blink but I'm more interested in what Matt can do with Blink..."No Heart To Speak Of"- Incredible song.

BUT...I would LOVE all of them together the most. I'm Kind of all over the place with this post. I'm too excited...

 

Them as a four piece would be cool, but I really think they're trying to ride the nostalgia train for this initial return and sticking to the Mark Tom & Travis show.

Still think it would be dope if Alkaline Trio opens the tour and Matt comes back out every night for Bored to Death and Darkside.

Also, I am fully leaving my expectations at the door. I think it'll just be a major tour next year (spring arenas, summer fests). So I am not expecting any new music. I'm expecting Tom to tour and take a step back again.

If I believe in that, then I won't get let down.

My completely unfounded guess is that Matt will not be part of the upcoming tour - it’ll be an Untitled anniversary, or just a “reunion” show - but that Matt could potentially be featured on new recorded music.

 

I hope they don’t spin it like “Matt is recording with Alkaline Trio so he won’t be able to tour with us. Sad face.”

 

Y’all are getting awfully hyped for Scott to rejoin.

This is what I’m hoping, essentially two versions of the band. Everyone involved has to know at this point that Mark and Travis want blink to be a consistent thing, and Tom is never going to make that version of the band work.
