They’re definitely going to do When We Were Young 2023 with Tom. Calling it.

 

I think they’re far more likely to do their own massive tour.

 

Maybe cause Tom’s kids are grown up he’s a little more inclined to tour? Or he’s coming around to the fact that he already has an established legacy that people love him for instead of trying to make another one?

 

I was gonna say this too if nobody else did. Lifeforms actively made me really want Tom back in the band because a lot of it is exactly the direction I wanted them to go

 

Lifeforms is probably the best album Tom has done outside of blink that isn't BCR.

 

I’ve been saying it for year now,or since when it got released….Liferorms is my most listened and probably most favorite blink & blink related project along with Untitled at this point.
The melodies,production,direction are all I want from Tom rn.
Spellbound,Time Bomb,Losing My Mind,Automatic & Restless Souls are just so perfect

 

This is how I also feel about I-Empire, but even so, I still think Lifeforms surpasses I-Empire.

 

I think I said that already but I just can only imagine how even more perfect would Spellbound got with one verse with Mark’s deep ,,apathetic” voice

 

If Tom is motivated and actually cares and wants to be there, sure give it another try. If he’s just going to pull the same shit he’s done in the past I hope he stays away and continues to make his other ‘art’ projects.

Either way I hope they find a way to keep Skiba on board and not just kick him to the curb. I think he would bring another interesting voice in the mix (Tom and Matt trading vocals or all 3 would be cool to hear) and have an in house replacement on hand when Tom gets bored and has his manager quit the band for him again.

 

So it’s the best Angels and Airwaves record?

 

Well if you aren't counting his 'solo' demo album then yes.

 

It's the best AVA record, I still don't like his current singing voice and lyrics enough to want him in blink. Meh

 

I’d love a winter tour. Don’t wanna wait all the way for summer.

 

My hope is we'll get an announcement in the next month or so for a 30-year tour in the May-July time frame. However that is probably way expedited from what it will really be.

 

20th Anniversary of Untitled Tour.

When do they usually announce large summer tours? Super antsy just to see them again no matter what the lineup or reason is. I could see a big summer tour with a small venue run for Untitled stuff later next year.

Would love an album or EP to help support a summer tour as well. Someone spill so I don't go crazy.

If the blink playing Lollapalooza Brazil is a real thing (which I have my doubts), the lineup last year was released late October. So there is your timeline.

 

Also my buddy who works at Q101's sister station is supposed to dig around for me today and see what the backstory is of their "announcement" on Friday of last week was all about.
