I don’t listen to blink for lyrics. I definitely don’t listen to Tom songs for lyrics. But Greg is 100% right haha.

Not to throw a whole can of gasoline on the thread but I’ll take blink being absolutely excellent at fast, poppy songs with lyrics for 15 year olds over blink being pretty good at more mature songwriting 100 times out of 100. Would probably call Untitled the single best song they’ve ever done, for example.

Untitled is a great song. Their best song though? That’s a scalding hot take.

All the Small Things and Adams Song are both Blink songs that have always felt like moves away from what I liked about the band at age 13 when the album was released and I don’t think I have changed my opinion on that since.

Tentatively I'd guess the most of the following will get pulled out of the set to make room for new additions:
    -Can't Go Back
    -Man Overboard
    -WYHSB/There Is (Medley)
    -Up All Night
    -More Than You Know
    -Obvious/Easy Target (alt slot)
    -M+M's/Wendy Clear (alt slot)
-maybe "Aliens Exist" or "Not Now"

Hoping some OMT deluxe tracks like "Every Other Weekend" or "All In My Head" will get added to the mix.

Wait - how do the lyrics not hold up? It was written about Benji Weatherley while they were roommates.

All In My Head is still getting radio play in Philly alt radio. Wouldn’t surprise me if that gets thrown in

Untitled is my number 1 blink song. Hit me at the right time/age/moment in my life when I heard it, and I love everything about it.

That being said, I absolutely know its nowhere near their best song. It's just #1 to me.

Rotating deep cut pre-Enema songs for this upcoming tour would be amazing. Bring Peggy Sue, Dick Lips and Pathetic back. I'd also love to see how 2025 Tom pulls off Degenerate. He'd gibberish the fuck out of the chorus.

OMT is aging like fine wine for me. Still don't love Fell in Love but I respect what they were going for with it. What a comeback album. Travis did a great job with production. Can't wait to see where they go next.

Would LOVE to see All In My Head get added to the set. If I had to describe what I think a "modern" Blink song would be, that'd be #1 with a bullet.

Arguing about blink lyrics is like arguing about the best menu item at McDonald's. We aren't in this for a culinary masterpiece. We're in this for a quick fix that makes us happy and full.

Obviously, there are better lyricists out there, but that doesn’t mean blink is devoid of clever lines or that some aren’t better or worse than others. Sometimes less is more and some simple poignant words can mean a whole fucking lot. One of many aspects that make art as an expression so rad. Sorry that I think about things. My bad.

Mark has some genuinely great lines. His peak is +44 ironically.

blink aren’t great lyricists all the time, but they are great songwriters for the genre they’re writing in & I think that says a lot. Even when the lyrics don’t absolutely hit, it doesn’t pull you out of the song. That’s a skill.

Did Mark just say he would "get really high" before writing what became the book? Why did I always think he was the one who didn't partake as much as Tom & Travis, lol.

These guys need a new wave section in the setlist. A rotation of:

    Blink Wave
    Always
    Darkside
    Every Other Weekend
    Fell In Love
    One Night Stand

I think I'm now comfortable saying Wendy Clear is my favorite Blink song. It makes me smile as soon as I hear that intro.
