Yea, First Time is one of my least favorites off the album.

 

i always skip the first 2 tracks and jump straight to "heaven"

 

Heaven, Runaway, Black Rain, and Pin the Grenade are killer modern blink songs. Blame it on my Youth is their worst single and their biggest flub as a first release for a new album. Dark Side is a great single and I think if they are going to play a NINE song would be great in the place of Up All Night or some of the singles they have played at every show for 20 years. This still feels like a Frankenstein album spot by the Feldman songs and the co writes. It is infinitely better as a detour album in the catalogue vs the last release with no movement for a few years. Genuinely enjoy it now but it ranks pretty low for me.

I still find it funny that everyone shits on Feldmann and the best songs on NINE were produced by him and worst song on NINE wasn’t (Happy Days) and the other song not produced by him (BIOMY) has a lukewarm reaction.

I remember an Alkaline Trio rank your albums article where Skiba says he absolutely hates Good Mourning (and I think ranked it nearly last) because his inability to sing made making that album absolute hell. As fans we love the different raspy vocals but that was just really a dude who had completely destroyed his voice.

My Shame Is True is ranked low as well because it was just a really sad time for him and they mentioned they hate playing anything from that live.

There’s got to be a batch of these songs missing. Wasn’t mark hyping a batch of feldman songs that were in the style of TOYPAJ? This one is rad though. Need to dig around and relisten to all of the unreleased stuff. Big fan of the Bonus track from NINE too. wish it was on the record like the neighborhoods bonus tracks.
