I think I might like the Buddha version of Toast & Bananas better than Cheshire Cat too.

 

Nine is so good.

I was on a cruise when Darkside was released. my friends heard it before I did. They all said it sucked and I was bummed about that. Then I got to hear it and was shocked by how good it was haha.

This tracks. I'm in the minority for having the Skiba albums at the bottom and while I do enjoy heaps of songs across both NINE and California, and am so thankful for his time in the band and his talent (fucking love Alk3), I just never fully gelled with either of those albums like I wish I could've. Neighborhoods sits as high as it does for who I was at the time and how I connected to it, and despite its glaring flaws, it's an important album to me.

 

Just realized Mark is likely in studio to rehearse for the upcoming Mexico show.

Still hoping we get a cool drop for Black Friday/leading into Christmas. Like in 2017(?) when those exclusive Cali DLX vinyl and Christmas bunnies dropped. Good times.

 

I don't want to derail the blink thread too much but how do I make one of these ranking things for the Alien movies? I've been rewatching all of them after seeing Romulus when it came out.

That OMT is right there among that iconic 1999-2003 run surprises me only a little because I still return to it so often a year or so later. And yes, Neighborhoods in the top half - I was all the way in on the first reunion. The Skiba records have aged poorly for me.

You pretty much nailed it for me

 

Even though Untitled ranks second for me, I still remember being super hyped waiting for its release date and being blown away by Travis drums, I love that album still and the cool studio footage.

 

Same here. I love how this album sounds, so “organic” and real, I think they tried to mimic that sound with Neighborhoods and I miss that kind of production in OMT to be honest.

 

Blink is like pizza not all of it is great but it’s always still pretty good even at their worst
