My worry is the posts I see of people thinking that adding Tom would change how Mark and Travis think about their music, and that all of a sudden Enema 2.0 is coming out from that group. Or I worry Tom would tamp down Mark’s melodic side, my personal favorite.

I like the AVA album well enough, but Tom's new vocals or lyrics are not what I want in my blink. I'd be open minded but I'd be very hard pressed to be excited for it

 

The last AVA album was the best thing Tom has done in years musically.

I'm putting 1-to-3 odds on the announcement tomorrow being Tom's return. I feel like if the 30-year anniversary tour that blinkitalia reported was going to happen, they'd hold off on any announcements until October when those South American fests start dropping lineups. However, the speculation got out of hand so fast; all of a sudden people on Twitter, including other band members and industry folks, are just taking it as a given that Tom's back. Tom's been teasing his returm for months, so maybe the guys just want to get ahead of the rumors.

Regardless, this band will always have a special place in my heart, we're incredibly lucky they're still around, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for their anniversary!

They’re probably just bringing back all of their Enema-era merch at Target.

 

Call it 182 Fest, hold it in San Diego, it would be incredible.

Get some 80's/90's punk & alternative bands that inspired blink, a few of the more unusual pairings they've toured with over the years, and tons of pop-punk bands that came after blink. I think it'd be a hit.
