Spotify vinyl sold out, only 1008 left of the Exclusive Red & Clear Marble Vinyl when I just checked.

 

Not a carbon copy, but certainly a continuation in tone.

 

It was on or around St. Patty's Day... I was a freshmen in college at ASU. Did a "century club" with Steel Reserve and went to a Flogging Molly Show. Left the Molly show and walked down Mill Ave (the party street in Tempe) and tried to get into a bar with a fake ID... there was a little person as the bouncer who took my ID... it was very fitting.

 

Just realized the album comes out on what should be my last day of work for a couple weeks as, a few days later, I get a surgery I've been looking forward and building towards for years. A coincidence that's already making this release special for me personally. I'm going to rinse the shit ton out of these songs during my recovery!!

 

Also can't wait for it to soundtrack future rollerskating and skateboarding sessions once I'm then back on my feet!

 

I’ll be visiting San Diego the week of the 20th and would love to see some sort of album celebration while I’m out there

 

Thought about taking off October 20th to do nothing but listen to the new album and play Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Then I realized I have one of my busiest weeks of the year at work during that time.

So I guess I'm quitting.

In case they edit it, at the time of posting, the headline is "Blink-182 announces first new album in 12 years"

 

It’s just the headline that’s off, the article does mention the Matt Skiba era and albums.

 

"Blink-182 announces first new album With Tom Delonge in 12 years"

^They just forgot that part. SO SICK and tired of these clickbait articles nowadays /s

 

I'd have to think the audience on that article from CNN would consist of many people who did not know blink has been active in a long time, and if it makes them click the article and get excited for new music from a band they enjoyed a decade or two ago .... that's cool by me lol

 

"blink-182? I know Blink. He's that guy with the tattoos from the Kardashian show. Seems like a nice kid."

 

And how it was labeled as "blink-182 with Matt Skiba"

 

I wish I could live in ignorance for all the entertainment I'm obsessively looking for news about almost daily: "Oh, a Dune pt 2 is coming out soon? I didn't even know there was a pt 1!"

 

This album comes out the day I start my 10 day vacation, as well as the same day a good friend of mine is driving into town to visit and go to the Hawthorne heights emo orchestra show with me. Also a week before my wedding anniversary, which blink was a huge part of our wedding and relationship. It’s meant to be

 

Right? Do you even deserve One More Time if you didn't know blink one-eighty-trio existed?!

 

Decided I'm only going to listen to One More Time a couple times and hold off on anything else until 10/20. Who's with me?!

 

Kinda same for me: album 10/20, anniversary 10/22, girlfriend's birthday 10/24. Don't ask me to rank which I'm most excited for ;)

I’d argue 20 years. I think it’s safe to say the three were not on the same page and wasn’t a true collaborative effort. Neighborhoods exists and they’ll likely keep 1 or 2 songs on the setlist, but this is the true follow up to Untitled. Similar to the new Armor For Sleep is the true follow up to WTDWYAD.

 

I've got my birthday on the 27th and flying to Austin on the 26th with my family to see my ol' best friend & his family from when I was in radio who I haven't seen in 9 years. Lots of blink will be played.

 

Just need a way to pass the time for a couple days. It was either that or ranking and in the moment, those were my only two options.

I’ve only listened to whatever is out there once. So whatever that is.
