Well you see back in the 80s there was a franchise called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They were led by a rat named splinter. Splinter, often referred to as Master Splinterby his students, is a mutant rat, he is the martial arts and ninjitsu instructor of the Turtles, as well as their adopted father. There are four turtles. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (often shortened to TMNT or Ninja Turtles) are four fictional turtles are named after Italian artists of the Renaissance. They were trained by their anthropomorphic rat sensi in the art of ninjitsu.

In this meme, the master is Splinter portrayed as Blink-182, and his turtles aka trainees/students/underlings are the different side projects of Blink-182. It depicts them as small children but as Blink gets older, the side projects become big themselves, they help carry the legacy of their father.

 

Yeah, I'm actually a big TMNT fan, I just don't understand how that meme applies to blink..blink is still bigger and more popular than any of the side projects?

 

While this indeed true, they are building blocks to Blink’s legacy, just like the turtles were to Splinter’s.

I like 311 and these tracks seem on par with them. Great summer/ beach tracks.

 

My wife works in Mark Hoppus’ neighborhood so I’m casually blasting Enema of the State on my way home with the windows down. Also this is like the perfect day for EOTS in LA.

 

I listened to TOYPAJ this morning is San Diego.

 

It is snowing today in Chicago. :(

 

Precisely why I moved away from the Chicago region area haha. Got so tired of the snow/winter.

 

I worked with a guy from Chicago that said there were only 5 reasons it wasn’t the perfect place to live: November, December, January, February, and March. Lol. I wanna visit some day.

Cool city, tons to do. Lake Michigan is great when its nice outside. If you go, I recommend visiting the Indiana State Dunes Park, which is now, I believe, a National Park. The beaches there are beautiful and its all a train ride away from downtown Chicago.

Apparently Mark did an Instagram live thing today and confirmed they’re doing Enema at Back to the Beach!

 

Its crazy to me that they've been so nonchalant about announcing it. They should formally announce it. Especially to sell more tickets.

 

Maybe they want it to be mostly a surprise. The general public there won’t know about it.
