My body is ready

 

Would make sense. We know they're all in the studio and have been for awhile. It generally takes them 3 months to record a new album. Matt is away on tour for Trio in August and October. Blink is touring in September and part of November. So you'd think they would have everything wrapped up sooner than later. I could see a November/December release then maybe a European tour in early 2019 and another huge summer tour in the US.

 

Not at all familiar with State Champs. Do you just not like their music or are members of the band scumbags?

 

Any clue what the VIP packages will be? In for Sands for sure. Love that place. Havent seen blink without Tom so it should be interesting. I like California a lot though.

 

When a lot of people were being accused of horrible shit, they made a tweet along the lines of "Tumblr Justice Baby" implying that what was happening was a "witch hunt" rather than people rightfully being called out and boycotted.

 

I’m never going to understand writing off a band over one tweet that was in poor taste.

 

Yeah, you've proven yourself to be pretty ignorant regarding a decent amount of discussions on the topic so I wasn't really expecting much

I don’t think disagreeing on a specific issue that I’m aware of the details of makes me ignorant. Not to mention you’re in the thread for a band who’ve joked about far worse on their own live album.

 

I would love an album before the end of the year, but something tells me this isn't coming till 2019.

 

I don't really have a handle on how much they've recorded but I doubt it's done before Trio start their tour. I'd be really surprised if it's out this year.

 

Would love a surprise album drop like Alkaline Trio have just done. 6 week release window.

 

Yeah I feel like they’ll hold off until Spring. Maybe like a standalone single to promote the tour and the residency?

The comments made by State Champs were directly related to a series of incidences about exposing rapists and abusers within the scene. The attitude projected by them to their followers is incredibly harmful and mirrors the same rhetoric that fans of the bands spewed when faced with the accusations about different artists. The abuser in question is still working in the scene, touring with famous bands and being allowed to make music. Nothing has changed. You can write it off as "poor taste", I just think that completely demeans the entire point of the discussions that have been ongoing for years now. To compare what they said to blink 182 making sex jokes is silly, and to question why I would choose not to support a band that apparently is in favor of shouting down victims is baffling.

So yeah, I'm going to continue to call you ignorant.

 

I hope they don't drop a new album any time soon because that means more time for Trio to tour and promote their own.

 

Yeah I think it really depends on how much time they've actually been recording in the studio and if Travis' injuries delayed that process in anyway.

Blink has actually been much quieter on social media with studio posts/updates than they were with California. Mark has was in the studio last week while Feldy has been on vacation in I believe Italy.

 

I hope this album drops ASAP. But any time between November- April works for me lol

Is this Mike Cernovich? The blink jokes were dumb as hell, I never really got that part of their schtick even when I was a 7th grader. Take it farther if you're going for shock humor!

 

This is pretty huge for State Champs. They are great live though.
