More concerned with who's helping them with making this album (i.e. producer) than what it actually sounds like right now. The early stages of California supposedly sounded like early blink meets early Trio.

Probably bologna and who know what things will sound like when the next album actually comes out but really, no thanks.

  5. Why is this band so content to rest on their laurels? I get that it’s a business but geez, push yourself a little bit guys.

  7. Don’t get me wrong I loooved Enema and Take Off... when I was 15. So frustrating to watch an artist or group of artists just rehash old material. Please don’t turn into the Thomas Kinkade of music... too much talent in this group for that...

Or I’m just a bitter almost 30 year old who doesn’t know how to enjoy fun music anymore haha.

Haha! That’s me! But in all fairness, the whole “teenage angst” thing is what turned me off to California. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with writing about your nostalgia or the thing you grew up on, but it didn’t seem genuine in their case. There’s bands that do it really well, but blink did it in a weird way.

  9. To me its even weird to listen to stuff like Enema and Takeoff when realistically they were already pretty far removed from those days.

Regardless I’ll give whatever they release a spin or two. I just hope that they can find a spark and find the balance between nostalgia and breaking new ground.

Feldmann won't make it sound like TOYPAJ.

Meant to say, was in a bar yesterday and Ghosts On The Dancefloor came on. Had to do a second take, didn't even recognise it at first.

Also, is that Feldman that is in the Instagram story Mark just posted? I didn't recognise whoever it was...

Mark could tell me this next album is 13 straight Fighting the Gravities and id be okay with it as long as Feldman is gone.

Like...we know what TOYPAJ was. And we know what Feldman’s sound is. We just got like 30 songs of it. I don’t want more of it.

Finn's drum work is miles ahead of anything Feldman can do. Toypaj has some of my favorite drum sounds.

Ha, Just like "Wildfire" is supposed to be a throwback to the Enema days.

As long as Feldmann produces, It won't be the "experimental" Blink I think most are hoping for. We shall see. I'm always down for new music, but I still wish they branched out more and stopped playing it safe.

I definitely wouldn't mind more collaboration with Patrick Stump though. Sober and San Diego are fantastic.

Thought he collaborated with LA too? Dope live song.

I think “experimental” isn’t quite the right word for what I want from blink. While I appreciate their more “experimental” attempts, I basically want something a little more mature lyrically, with more sonic variety than just simple pop punk songs with nanas. I’m over songs about the weekend and the summer.

I feel ya. What I meant by experimental is the self-titled style of experimentation. More mature. I just don't think Feldmann can bring that to the table.

  23. I don't want or hope for anything "experimental" from Blink-182. I don't think that's what they're good at. Gimme good songs like parts of California and +44 and I'll be more than happy with what we're getting.
