I'd love to know what other guitar riffs Mark has written because I think that there are other songs too that he has mentioned before. But Dammit is definitely the most famous song that he wrote the guitar part for.

 

Yeah I didn't say Tom didn't have great songs on Dude Ranch lol. But Voyeur and Degenerate aren't good lol

 

Also on a Dude Ranch note, I think Lemmings is the most underrated song in their whole catalog.

 

Every Mark song on Dude Ranch is so good. Tom's lyrics were mostly crude and humorous on that record, but every Mark song feels personal.

not sure, but i think they probably mostly just talked about the Back To The Beach festival or whatever it's called. Goldfinger (feat Travis) is on the bill.

To be fair to Tom re: Dude Ranch lyrics you have to remember he was like 18 or 19 at the time. At the same time that makes it more impressive how rad the guitars and melodies were even if the lyrics were immature.

 

I'm the opposite. I think Tom wins on the old stuff but Mark's songs on Enema and TOYPAJ pretty much make up my whole top 10.

 

By change the world he means write another album of bland C-major pop/rock songs?
