Ah, fuck this. I'm sure I'm not alone, but I have more than a couple of people in my personal life who are dealing with cancer right now - including my grandpa who is about to have his voice box removed and lose his ability to speak thanks to all that. It never gets easier hearing that anyone is going through it.

I'm hoping (and believe) Mark will be fine, but you can't help but to feel god awful for him and this news (especially because it doesn't seem like he meant for this to get out).

 

He’s got millions and millions and millions of dollars. I don’t think he needs donations. But he supports Children’s Hospital LA, which might be a good place for donations.

 

Hoping for the best for him, this is such devastating news.

yeah, that's a good point, for sure. just trying to think of how we can possibly help Mark or lift his spirits at least. maybe just a benefit comp that gives to a cancer organization would be enough?

 

Feeling so bummed about this. My uncle also just found out today that he has cancer. Rough day. Wishing a full recovery for Mark.

 

I don't think a benefit comp where proceeds go to him is a good idea either. He's got plenty of money and will see probably the best doctors wherever he is, but proceeds to cancer research or a specific hospital would definitely be a good idea.

thanks, i agree. it was just my first reaction. but i agree, he's fine financially and a comp for cancer research or a childrens cancer organization would actually benefit from something. i mean, fuck, we could all just donate money directly to an org.

Fuck, Mark doesn't deserve this shit. Always seems like the nicest and most upbeat guy everywhere he goes. I really hope he makes a full recovery.

Gutwrenching news. One of my better friends just had to have a tumor as well as part of his kidney removed in fear of cancer. Fuck it all to hell. Prayers all around.

 

I wonder if this is why he and Tom have been reconnecting lately...
