At this point it’s much more than just ‘Feat. Travis Barker’ he’s fully producing these tracks and signing these artists to his label. I guess it could be seen as diluting the genre but at the same time there’s a reason all these artists are wanting to work with him specifically.

    this is an interesting take

Are we talking emo rap or just emo? Because Travis has 0 relevancy in emo music and it’s been thriving since the emo revival happened without a mention of him.

If we are talking emo rap, Juice Wrld, Lil Peep, and others like them were the ones going mainstream before Travis Barker was ever in the mix.

Also framing it as MGK and Travis Barker saving the genre is weird. There’s plenty of pop punk records coming out all the time, it was never really “dead”.

Yes, this was the origin of the argument basically. Maybe a second wave after Lil Peep and Juice WRLD.

I personally dislike most of the artists Travis has worked with, but you can’t deny he has at least helped with the growth and exposure of some of these smaller artists. That being said, the music sounds generic. It feels like he’s got a specific formula that wears thin after a bit.

The MGK stuff is super cheesy but it's certainly a guilty pleasure of mine.

    Are You Watching Closely?

I saw that in the background of the pic on Instagram where Mark said he had sent him something and was glad to see he got it.... I was wondering if it was the Boomer. Guess not

    Are You Watching Closely?

You must have never stepped inside of a Disney store lol. 37 bucks is cheap in that realm (which is STILL outlandish to me btw)

I should’ve done my research, haha. But yeah, I laughed when I saw the price.

It also talks, which is a whole different story and something I definitely could do without. But I assume that's why it's $37.
