I just can’t get behind MGK.

it’s cool he trying to embrace pop punk, and seems successful at doing it. I guess I just still enjoy the stuff that inspired him to do this and would rather listen to that instead.

Every time I think of Super 8 I get illogically angry at how disappointed I was in it. UGH

I enjoyed Super 8 when it came out. I just figured it was a new take on The Goonies for the most part.

Late lastnight I went on a binge and replied to a bunch of Nine haters on Reddit. Probably not the best move on my part, but I was tired. I think I made good points though, haha.

Also, has anyone seen the Blink bracket that Mark did with most of their songs, including some songs off Nine? I don't know if it's new or old (because I remember seeing a bracket before on here that he filled out) but man... his taste of his own band's songs is so odd to me haha. But then again, we don't have the same memories attached to these songs as he does. But still!

 

What in particular surprised you about this bracket? I think mine would end up fairly similar. Probably would choose m&ms over josie. feeling this/anthem and wmaa/pathetic is just tough. Also, no way that small things beats dumpweed.

Nine is really good, no matter if it’s Blink album, +44 album or some unknown band waiting to be discovered.

I find bands ranking their songs and albums interesting, but it’s still just an opinion. Maybe an educated opinion, but still. They have different qualifiers for a good album or album. Just likes bands best songs aren’t always their biggest hit, or a bands best albums doesn’t always have their highest sales.

 

Counterpoint: Nine actually is bad
