The real lyrics are “I wore cologne to get the feeling right”

Ok so I don't think I mentioned it, but I think it was because of that podcast I mentioned (I'm doubting because I've listened to a few podcasts this week lol) Anyway, well, while I didn't finish it, I heard more BCR songs that day.

Then yesterday, I started my journey with California. I still have about 5 more songs left though. (Can't listen right now and I had to sleep last night). So I'll give a proper review of both of these albums, when I do finish.

Looking forward to Nine as well.

I'm sure there is more related stuff I've uncovered or discovered this week, but I'm too tired to think and/or bore you. ;)

Oh, but I will say that I'm getting more info that could help me better recall the key moments of Blink in my life, like when I got my first album (Enema) and when I got TOYPAJ. What I've realized is that a lot of the album's I've gotten, from all artists, had been purchase a whole year later. Hehe Like, no joke! Untitled was one, Bleed American by Jimmy Eat World another (I think. At least that's my strongest memory, so I'm assuming), and The Silence in Black and White by Hawthorne Heights, just to name a few. But I feel like TOYPAJ and/or Enema were at least close to their release days. :P

I really don’t care for the rest. Yes, I’m aware of my controversial Blink take.

    Buddha Promo

Does anyone have a good quality download of the Buddha Promo? I realized today that I am missing it.

So, wow! I got into both California and Nine tonight. Still a few left to go on Nine, but I left off right after the Emo Shit one. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I love these albums, especially Nine (as a whole. like I am liking practically all of the songs)!

And, dare I say that they both are better than Neighborhoods?? Honestly, that's where my thinking is tonight. I'm shocked! but pleasantly so. I'm so happy for these guys to be continuing so strong. :D

Neighborhoods has pulled ahead of both CA and Nine as a whole. I think Nine has bigger highs, like No Heart, Blame It, Emo Shit, and Black Rain; but the lows are so bad to me. Neighborhoods isn’t perfect, but it definitely is more varied and interesting. Of course this is just an opinion.

What do you consider the lows on Nine?

  14. I would also like to hear this answer. To me, the only real low is “Happy Days.”

Don't get all the hate for Happy Days. I love this song, mostly because of its message... I mean the lyrics which are honest yet simple. Can relate.

HD is my least favorite on the album too.

Happy Days and Heaven sound like the same song to me and them being right next to each other significantly weakens both. I almost always skip both, but Heaven is definitely the better song and I wish it was on its own. Really Wish I Hated You is honestly in the bottom tier of Blink songs since Matt joined. I can't stand the way Mark sings directly to the grid of the song. It just highlights how limited he is as a vocalist to me. Generational Divide, Hungover You, and Remember to Forget Me are all lows to me. Run Away is half-baked. I like Matt's part, but they could have done so much more with it. There are too many mid-tempo songs that don't differentiate.

I should have included First Time, Darkside, and Pin the Grenade in my top. Those are ace.

If I could edit it down, this would be a top 3 Blink album:

    1. The First Time
    2. Darkside
    3. Blame it on My Youth
    4. Heaven
    5. Black Rain
    6. No Heart to Speak Of
    7. Randsom
    8. Pin the Grenade
    9. On Some Emo Shit (I'd call it The Last Time)

There aren’t any songs i dislike on Nine. Even happy days can pass as “fine.”

  19. That is a take. Hungover you is great

I just realized the first line of Happy Days is almost the same line as The Middle
