  1. Right it just has gems like:

what is with these bands that keep comin' with their politics,
they never went to school to find out that they were full of shit,
    didn't really either,
but fuck i guess it really doesn't matter,
you took this time to listen to me,
so i'll say hey i fucked your brother,

    there's one problem,
    i got brownies,
    from your mother,
it gave me syphilis... i got no dick!

clear lyrical step up right there

  5. Lol remember when angels played my first punk song? Oof.

edit: I saw angels last night. Too many ballads and Tom was sick but he was very endearing. Glad he’s happy.

I think I like I Empire more than most people but Tom during that era was just so bad in terms of stage presence. The fucking arm waving and awkward dancing was too much.

Its just so pretty. Its actually extremely thin and light. I thought I was getting a standard/stiff 100% cotton tshirt. Wrong.

Yeah, band tshirts and tshirts with logos/prints on them aren't really my thing, but I loved this one.

BCR was so good it drove Mark crazy that he wasn’t a band member. Prove me wrong

  12. Hahaha of course you pick the one song that doesn't sound remotely like anything else on the album. I wish that song didn't make it onto it at all. It's painful how much that song doesn't fit on it... If that song wasn't on it, I think the BCR album is the perfect bridge from TOYPAJ to Untitled.

BCR is my favorite release any of the blink members came out with. I was 15 when it came out. It hit me HARD and FAST. That was the age I started to learn what anger and depression was while trying to understand the world around me. So hearing one of my musical heroes sing about some of that same shit I was thinking about at the time really hit home for me. That album will always mean the world to me. :heart:Watch The World:heart:

  15. I mean, if the argument was "20 year olds were writing bad lyrics!" is the argument against TOYPAJ, you gotta own one of the worst batches of lyrics Tom's ever written. And at least TOYPAJ was fun!

There isn't a single song on that album in drop D so since your criticism is clearly based on a personal grudge against Mr Delonge rather than valid musical facts, you must now listen to the syphilis song on loop for 8 hours in lieu of an apology. Sincerely, To The Stars Legal Team.

  17. Oh, for sure. To all of that. Haha.

  18. It makes me feel old as fuck that no one gets my Blink in drop D reference. Apparently I am now the only living person on the internet that used to read Buddyhead and the org.

Ok, enough of that. To sum this CD up in a phrase, it's Blink 182 in drop D tuning. Tom plays both guitar and bass on these recordings, and it's obvious - both parts mimic each other at almost every turn. Travis' drumming is definitely a standout, but he can't make every song sound good. The majority of these songs sound like bits and pieces thrown together - in most cases, the verses and the choruses don't sound anything alike. Or, in some songs, the music never deviates from the main pattern laid down at the beginning [i.e. the ever-popular "Cat Like Thief"]. There's a lot of needless orchestral stuff peppered throughout this album, too. It's like the band thought that this wouldn't make their shit smell as bad. Wrong, guys. I feel bad for all the fans they're duping into buying this. Utterly forgettable. Completely and utterly forgettable.

Buddyhead's review is gone :verysad:, but google shows me Scott Heisel said it in his review too.

Well I don't know who that is but he calls Tom hotter than Mark so clearly neither of you drop D guys can be trusted.
