No Heart is fantastic, but it’s below Black Rain, Forget Me, Hungover, and Emo Shit for me.

The back half of this record is almost too good.

 

Yeah I can't get over how good the last three songs to close the album are

 

Agreed. That final stretch is phenomenal.

Long week of travel but I got to listen to this thing about six times all the way through. There’s seriously not a skip track on it. In fact, I got sad each time around “Ransom” because I knew it was almost over. When I finally got back to my own vehicle today and drove home by myself, I belted out every single word on the album.

 

My vinyl and cassette have FINALLY shipped. Arriving in Burbank Tuesday. Hell yeah.

 

Same. I didn’t really think I was a fan of Skiba at all until this album.

 

What am I not hearing?

I was on the second verse of Hungover You when i saw this. Actually worked really well. hahaha

I think Heaven might be one of Mark’s best songs he’s ever written. If not song, then definitely that damn chorus.

 

That new Vogue article said that Scott Raynor left the band in 1993.

Also called Enema of the State the bands third album and NINE their ninth.

 

Every song on album album is good. Also, I think there’s a lot of potential for “my favourite song from this album today is...”, which I think is cool.

 

Weezy isn’t coming out. Damn.

 

I think it's interesting how they finally said "fuck it" and started writing some of these songs in a tuning a half-step down.

 

Weezy came out about 35 minutes late tonight. It was his birthday. We sang happy birthday and Mark Travis and Matt presented him with a tray of blunts which he proceeded to light up and smoke. Blinks coming on soon.
