I reread the Pitchfork review of California and even though the score is low the actual substance seems surprisingly positive? Obviously the reviewer didn’t love it, but they’re kinder than I probably would’ve been.

 

Yeah I remember it definitely read better than the score given. It was surprising to say the least haha

 

It's especially baffling that they gave Matt shit for it when he wasn't even the one that wrote the songs to begin with, haha.

 

People were against Matt using it simply cause he's not Tom *shrugs*

 

During their set at Riot Fest some dude near me yelled "We want Tom!" and I drunkenly snapped back "It's been 4 years, fucking get over it!" and everyone around me was on my side. Felt good haha

 

Anyone else going to the Barclays show friday? Just got a call from Ticketmaster that the event time has been changed from 8pm to 7pm. Wondering if anyone knows the reasoning?

 

I'll be there as well- I saw that on the tickets. Donno why, playing a longer set maybe?

 

That's what I'm jokingly 'hoping' but doubt it. I know theres usually an 11pm curfew for concerts in NY due to employee overtime laws and what not, not sure if thats the reason for the change.

I can't remember where I saw it, but I thought I saw doors at 6:00, show at 7:00 after the update

 

I friggen wish an 11 pm curfew was installed in Boston and surrounding Boston venues. Pretty sure 2 recent shows I went to (Spanish Love Songs and The Dangerous Summer) they didn't go on until like 11:30.

Blink is so big and has such a massive impact on people it isn't surprising to me that they continue to be divisive. Who really cares though. This album seems to mean a lot to fans who have been along for the ride all along, and hopefully, some of the modern elements bring in new fans with the singles and introduce them to these proper pop punk rippers.
