How is that comfortable.

 

Every time I see that pose, my knees ache.

 

It's quite tempting to pick up another vinyl variant but I'm gonna resist haha

 

I’m pretty disappointed in the vinyl variants tbh, especially given the very bright and colorful album cover. They should’ve just done splatter of all those colors.

I have a theory that they weren’t really sure what the final cover was going to be, but I could be wrong. Just seems weird to only have orange, yellow, and pink on one, and then green, blue, purple on the other. And the orange marble looks cool but is kinda a random variant, which almost makes me think that the orange marble and neon pink variants were leftovers from another pressing, cause they seem like random choices idk

I love this little track so much. Ransom and GD really shows them playing off their strengths and they seem so organic. Like they were just vibing and in the moment. It goes unnoticed bc they’re short, fast, punk songs. Those are difficult songs write though. They throw away every typical expectation and idea of what makes a song. Very glad they’re on the album and it gives them album a little more attitude.

 

Not that it really matters, but I'm thinking about if we get a Pitchfork review this time too and, in that case, if it's scored higher or lower than California. What do you think?

I don't know why but I can see a 4.9 in front of me. Thought I, of course, hope that it's much higher than that!

 

Even though Pitchfork sucks I would hope even they know that Nine is an improvement over California. So since they gave California a 5.5 I’d guess Nine would be more in the 6.3-6.7 range.

 

I hope they don’t “review” it.

Listened to California on my commute into the city today. It bumps. I was living in London when it came out so it always bring me back to that time. So pumped for the show on Friday!

Does @Zeke or anyone know about anything special happening in Brooklyn on the 20th? Besides NINE release day and their Barclays show. Like a pop up shop or anything like that?

I’ll be in NY but won’t be able to hit the show sadly :(

I really love the EDM song Black Rain on this album.

 

I agree that Travis Barker has pretty terrible instincts. That Yelawolf verse on "Pretty Little Girl" is one of the most misplaced features ever.

 

I can't imagine thinking this is a step down from California, much less falling off a cliff lmao
