Okay. Just pointing out that the set was not the "exact same" and was "changed to some extent."

One song dosent count. Foo fighters had A 30 song printed set list which I have and ended up going off of it doing covers and switching the order if they would have played the 3 songs on the printed set list they didn't play it would have been a 35 song 4 hour set. When you've been around as along as both of these bands have been around for you have to start changing it up. Blink should learn this lesson they are getting stale live. I'll see foo fighters every time they come here since I know what to expect from them set wise. Like the other dude said mark and the rest of blink are programmed like robots while foo fighters do whatever the fuck they want to do

And they basically made an entire album for the re issue of California and play nothing off of it. What's the point of doing a deluxe reissue if your not going to play songs off of it. Every concert I've ever been to where a bands done a reissue with new songs they play one or Two of them live. Like they should have played parking lot at metro the quit the damn place in the song

Just chill, man. Let blink do their thing, and you do your thing. By definition, the set was not the "exact same," and yes, changing one song counts as a change to some extent.

  6. they said they haven't had time to rehearse any of the Deluxe songs yet because they've been on tour for forever and haven't had the opportunity. so i'll give them that one.

Some extent would be 2-5 songs more then one I should have made it more clear then. Point being it's a stale fucking setlist that's out side of California songs has been the same since 2007 or 2008 whenever the reunion tour happened

They still could have found time to rehearse one song that they quoted the venue they were playing in.

If Tom was still in Blink we wouldn't even be having this discussion because they wouldn't be fucking touring at all

They switched out dog eat dog and neighborhood songs for California songs. Like I would love to se a deep cut tour with only like 5 greatest hits/single songs from them

Like I won't pay to see them live again until they stay doing something different while I'll see foo fighters over and over cuz of how good they are live and how much they change up their set list tour to tour

blink-182 and Foo Fighters are completely different bands and have always had a radically different live show from one another. I don't understand why they are being compared so much now simply because the played the same venue a night apart from each other.

I think it's based on how stale blinks set is becoming and how much better of a band foo fighters are

Now I Know This World Isn’t Spinning Just For Me Prestigious

I can understand wanting the setlist to change a bit, really. But good lord man calm down. Blink and foo fighters are two different bands, and this is how their live shows have generally been. Especially at a damn festival show where most the people there, except your real fans, know your singles and the festival pays them to please everyone.

As for other shows. Sure they need to change the setlist. They exchanged it slightly over the years I'm sure they will. But don't get up in arms about it. I understand the frustration though and would love to see a deluxe song live, but they haven't stopped touring to practice I see that.

And for crying out loud they ARE NOT a novelty band. They don't do weird funny stunts on stage, and they still put out new music. Which people still like. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they are a 'novelty' just means they ain't the band for you anymore move on.

  18. Just to clarify not every band that do stunts are a novelty aha.

  19. But the set list issue stems to that a lot of casual fans come to the shows. When you have that many hit songs people that soley listen to the radio are going to come out. I mean Blink attracts a lot of Jersey and UFC Bros, so they have to play What's My Age Again all the time.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

This guy always gets a little too intense when he dislikes something

but they don't owe it to anyone to change anything. Would it be nice? Yeah, for sure. But in their eyes, the tours are still doing incredibly well, it's obviously easier to play the same sets and not having to re-learn some of the other songs again. I mean, they've played the same set for probably 4-5 tours now, and they're still making bank and selling out venues, so for them, there's no reason to change.

Mark joked that they're contractually obligated to play songs so there's probably some truth behind that being the reason why certain songs are played and the set is always the same length.

"We're gonna play more songs! Why? Because we're contractually obligated!"

Any show has a contract I believe. They agree to play for __ amount of time minimum, and whatever else is required per the contract.

I don't think its per venue I think the contracts are with the label companies cuz I remember a few years ago Tim from rise against said the same thing. Outside of what your contract says you have to play switch it up tour to tour show to show. When linkin park did the Honda Civic tour that had 4 different sets that switched every day or every other day and they did that with almost every tour I've been to with them headlining
