Watching that performance again, I never get tired of Reckless Abandon, Dysentery Gary, Violence with Matt to name a few (also Always and Wendy Clear) I mean absolutely they deserve criticism for setlist and other things. But to kill their actual performance like that article does when they are easily more listenable live than they've been in a decade (and yes they've never ever been technically that good.) And honestly who gives a fuck about the hair of a guy whose career is being a rock musician lol. For years in these forums and in any piece of writing, I automatically completely disregard you when hair is one of your talking points.

 

It's fine to be upset that Tom's gone, and it's fine to come to a public forum like this and voice your opinion. But when you go out of your way to go on Skiba's IG and insult him, you're a fucking asshole.

 

People on the internet have no respect or decency.

 

watching that lolla show now. only on feeling this but this is already a huge improvement from that march madness performance i watched months back holy shit. drums and bass both sound great and mark isn't immediately out of breath

I know he's not doing a bad job (and that Tom wouldn't have done any better) but it honestly sounds so weird hearing Matt sing on some of these songs. Like so unnatural to my ears after being used to the albums

I legitimately don't think Tom could play Dysentary Gary live without it being a complete trainwreck. Hail Skiba

lol, this actually isn't that bad. It's average Tom. And he added some AVA-ness to it, haha.

 

I also like the think that Tom sounded amazing on those Untitled shows, but I think it was pure "they're playing my favorite album of all-time" hype in my head.

 

Excuse me while I humble brag. I've been trying to get a blink setlist for over a year now and not only did I finally snag one, I snagged one in perfect condition that Matt customized and doodled all over on top of him handing me a pick again.

 

You know what's been getting tiring? The little speech Mark says before playing Happy Holidays in the dark that they've been doing the past 2 and a half years. It was cool the first time I saw it but I always know exactly what's coming when he starts talking about "doing something no band has done before"

 

This is so lame. Idunno how they justify it themselves as OK to do haha. He's just on autopilot. Introduced California songs as "brand new"...nah it's a year old dude

 

Lol for like 30 seconds yesterday I tried to convince myself that it was still funny as a running gag, but nope. He really needs to retire that. Lol a little better than playing it once, and THEN playing it again in the dark like they used to. Just slightly though haha.
