I could be completely wrong but I think he has being using one for Trio shows as well for the past few years. Maybe it’s just a comfort thing for him.

He started using lyric sheets for his Sekret shows. I think he did for the Past Live shows. Regular Trio shows last few years I haven't seen one. It really doesn't look like he looks at the prompter all that much with blink to me but maybe the guy has anxiety issues, who's to say why. And between all the songs he's written between all his projects, I really don't hold it against him. I'm glad I've really not seen much in the way of giving him shit about it.

I'd rather see him use it and keep playing music if it's what he feels he needs to do

 

They’re becoming so common place in music now, you’d be giving shit to most artists if you start on one tbh.

 

It’s hard to memorize and remember a bunch of songs, especially ones you didn’t write/weren’t ones you were singing along with for years and years. I don’t think twice about him using a guide for lyrics.

 

And one thing about him there's so many songs where he keeps the 2nd verse mostly the same but switches a few things or words up. I fuck up Trio songs constantly still lol

I haven’t really kept up with this thread, but how has Wayne been at the shows so far? He’s not someone I like well enough to seek out seeing live, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him in this type of setting

Surprised Happy Days hasn't been played yet.

 

Unbelievable, I barely know his material but the crowd was super pumped for him, honestly it was totally fine that he closed the night. So fucking good.

 

Mark said they didn't rehearse it yet

 

He played after Blink? I thought it was the other way around.

 

Usually is but there was a switch last minute last night, LW May have been running late

 

His bus broke down apparently so he arrived late. He thanked blink constantly during his set for swapping time slots and was super apologetic. Also the vast majority of the crowd stayed for him which was cool.

 

Last night they didn't play anything new. No blame it, generational divide, or happy days. Same with the Hershey show.

 

He did the solo to this sick hip hop/dubstep track, it was like my second or third favorite part of the night

Just fyi, the night goes:

Enema...they come out and go straight into dumpweed, I know at some shows they take a quick breather before aliens but not last night they did the first three back to back to back. There's less banter than past shows but their set is so massive there's no time.
After anthem the lights go out and depending on the venue mark and Matt relocate for acoustic set of down and wasting time...that's when mark walked down the aisle by my seat and I grabbed his hand and told him I loved him omg I'm shaking thinking about it sorry. Apparently at the soundcheck in Indianapolis mark asked Matt if he'd learned dick lips and m&Ms yet for the acoustic set.
While that's going on Travis is setting up for his solo which he pretty much goes right into.
Then mark announced that they're taking a 3 minute break...we got a Richard cheese version of feeling this over the speakers
Exactly 3 minutes after they do a few singles and close with dammit (no scrubs version). This part of the show had cooler AV and pyro than the enema set.

I can't believe I paid 35 bucks for all of that plus Wayne.

Not a chance haha. Mark said they haven’t pressed it to CD or vinyl because the band is too lazy. I don’t see us ever getting it, unfortunately.

BUT

You can buy bootleg copies of it on vinyl. So that’s probably our only option.
