Fine, I'll blame Jamaica for TBS cancelling their destination tour (or whatever that was supposed to be)

So turns out Toronto is actually sold quite well. The lawns are sold out and they hold 10,000. Not to mention seats are around half sold at most.

Well in regards to that TBS show, they just said "conflict with the venue", not necessarily a scheduling conflict. Maybe they had a contract and the venue selling tix half price was violating that or something. Granted I knew absolutely nothing about that show until 2 minutes ago but that was my first impression. People need to chill haha.

They 100% said a 'scheduling conflict' on their FB post, which has since been deleted.

This is how to handle a low ticket sale announcement

  10. Back in my day, fans used to flex about rare imports and first presses. Now it’s all about being armchair promoters and music venue snobs. Good grief.

I have every blink vinyl first press as well as test presses for every album except Cali. Also have DED on vinyl so that can act as my “import”. Did I flex?!!!!

  15. Bootlegs, basically. You used to be able to buy them from someone on Discogs, but he got caught and now Discogs won't let him sell them anymore.

Tom was actually kind of smart to book smaller clubs for the AVA tour. He moved to larger venues as some of them sold out.

I think it would've sold so much better at the pavilion in Boston instead of Xfinity in BFE Mansfield. However I'm not sure if the pavilion is a live Nation venue or not.

Side note- I fucking hate venues out in the middle of nowhere.

    Edit.
Capacity difference is about by 10k too so it would've sold out there.

How many tickets being available makes it an okay turnover? Next show seems more filled in compared to the one that got canceled.

EDIT: The show on July 1st on the other hand... but we will see closer to the date.

Not trying to add fuel to the fire so to speak but...As someone who used to work in ticket sales (not concerts), just because they're gone on the map doesn't mean they have been sold. They could be holding even more seats back.

"Oh wow some seats were just returned to us from x! Pick them up before they're gone!"

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I’m pretty certain this happened for the Columbus show. Notice how every other row is coincidentally empty. That happened pretty suddenly shortly after these tickets went on sale.

Yep - there are band holds. label holds, venue holds, promoter holds and radio holds - so many holds. They’ll typically section off anywhere between 2 and 10 rows depending on the market. So entire random rows that are “sold” in the sections of the right and left of the stage are where those typically are.

Not sure anyone is trying to 'flex' here. Most of us are just calling it as we see it and not falling for bullshit. I think all of us would agree that we want our favorite bands to do well and sell out a bunch of venues and be on top of the world. I don't think anyone is taking pleasure in bands that we like canceling/rescheduling shows.
