Artwork would've looked sick with the "Happy Days" color scheme instead of the rainbow but I'm hyped for this album!
So they count the live album? 1. Cheshire Cat 2. Dude Ranch 3. Enema 4. Pants 5. Self titled 6. Neighborhoods 7. California
To me it’s always been Official Albums: Buddha Cheshire Cat Dude Ranch Enema of the State Take Off Your Pants and Jacket blink-182 Neighborhoods California Nine EP’s: Flyswatter They Came To Conquer Uranus Dogs Eating Dogs Live Albums: The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back!) So Nine checks out imo
Is Buddha considered an official album? Thought that was basically demos of songs that ended up on Chesire Cat.
Buddha is not one of their albums. They also stated in 2009 that the 6th arrow was added to the smiley to represent their 6th album. That ended up being Neighborhoods.
You could count Buddha, but I prefer the idea that this is their 8th official album and they knowingly titled it Nine
I like the idea of live albums being so classic, they count. The live album is so classic, so iconic, it should count. Like Panteras 101 Proof, which I consider an album. Its cool
I listened to that live album so much that I memorized the banter. And I feel like that wasn’t uncommon among blink fans. This is 3/4 for me. Blame it on my Youth was a hard miss for me. Generational Divide was too short, but I still really enjoyed it. And Happy Days was pretty good. Not amazing, but enjoyable.
Mark clarified on reddit today that him and Travis decided they’re counting Buddha and that this is their 9th album, thus the title. He’s not counting TMTAT, DED, or California deluxe.
Lyrically lacking... and yes it's Blink, but come on, these guys can do better. Musically pretty good ear candy. Still wish it had more guitars and that the bass was more distinguished like their older records.
This is as close to a great song that NuBlink has done. The chorus is still thin to me and I wish they could do more with a bridge than repeat the chorus in a different way.
At the concerts in the crowd you still hear the changes of lyrics and witty post song things during those tunes being sung out
I'm not really into this band's current output, but how are they going to call the album "Nine"...and not launch on 09/09/2019?
