Yup. Missed a good chunk of a few songs last night because of it. Thankfully the security guard in front of me was seriously awesome and was on top of things and warned me and my friend every time someone was headed our way. He was trying to grab them before they landed on our heads and kept checking on us to make sure we were safe. He brought the front row water, too which was nice.

 

Who crowd surfs to Brand New?

 

My worst crowd surfing this year was during Sum 41 at Warped I probably was turned around 2-3 songs total just helping them but very expected at Warped.

There were a few guys doing it constantly last night but security threatened to kick them out if they went up again after their 5th or so time

MGK was also right behind me in the pit at a certain point lol

 

Turns out rapper Machine Gun Kelly loves Blink-182 just as much as the rest of us - Features - Alternative Press

 

There were a couple of those in Chicago but Brand new did play 4 songs off that record in a row.

 

Hearing the mixed reviews about AAR makes me so much happier that MI gets All Time Low.

 

I mean I've never seen them and they were great aside from that new song haha I thought I preferred ATL to AAR but I feel like ATL's song choice is gonna bum me out

 

So how did Blink switch up their setlist tonight?

 

I saw them once and a lot of the same stuff you're telling me rang true for that too, haha.

 

Tuesday's show was a blast! I will say that I forgot how much I disliked The All-American Rejects before I gave them a spin on my way to pick up my girlfriend before going to show, we got into the show mid-way through their set and what I heard I thought was pretty terrible. What is that "DGAF" song? Soooooo bad.

I thought A Day To Remember was good and can play to a big audience and in a bigger venue well, this wasn't the first time I've seen them in such a big place but im glad to see they still have it.

Blink-182 was better than I expected. I enjoyed Skiba with them on the record and he wasn't bad at all live but not seeing Tom up there gave it "not the same feel" but I, unlike my friends think maybe for now that's a good thing? I'm not sure but I enjoyed the hell out of the set. Did anyone else who was there think that the talking was minimal? And they didn't do the insurment switch? I assuming they didn't do that stuff because of the rain and possibility of the thunder & lighting. Lol.

 

Yeah I was bummed that they didn't talk much

 

How has the crowd been for all the bands? Like does most of the crowd know the openers and are actually into it or is it like most shows where people don't know the openers and just stand there lol

 

Everyone sang along to the popular songs that DJ Spider played. Same with almost every AAR song. Constant mosh pit for ADTR. Lots of circle pits and crowd surfing for blink.

 

That's the first thing I said to my girlfriend after the show. She doesn't know that is one of the staples of their live show but it kinda bummed me out. They were great though and I enjoyed when they did talk.
I'm pretty sure Matt changed the words in Reckless Abandon to "fucking Mark in the parking lot". I know it's juvenile but I laughed. They bring out the snotty middle schooler in me.

 

there wasn't much talking at my date but it didn't feel weird. Mark said some funny stuff and Travis spoke once which got the crowd excited.

 

Have they done the insurment change-up at all of the other shows?

 

Oops, didn't know this thread existed. Going tomorrow night in Camden, NJ. What's the general consensus on All Time Low and ADTR? I have never seen All Time Low and last saw ADTR in January 2012. Hyped for both though,

 

Excited to see Wishing Well and San Diego got played. Gosh, still another month until my first show.

 

I've never seen ADTR but ATL is always a fun time. Been seeing those dudes since they played in front of 20-30 people in churches (they're from Towson where I'm from)

 

Never seen ADTR but I have seen ATL many times and they are always great. Never seen them play in a big venue like this so i'm interested to see how they are on a large stage like this

 

I'm 6ft4 so it sucks when I get hit with a crowdsurfer. If I'm 2nd or 3rd row and stuck with a heavy set dude who flails, I find a spot where there's no security guard and I launch him there. They get the hint soon after.

 

All Time low jumps on tomorrow.

 

So - we have lawn seats for blink in mansfield, MA. Are there pits of any kind that show up in the lawn? Whats to be expected?

 

Plenty of boring couples and drunk people.

 

Hurm..... we won't fit in either way, my daughter and me :)

Perhaps she sneaks down somewhere? are there pits, crowd surfing or anything? Or just stand and enjoy the music?
