La Dispute is the third band to get announced. They will be playing their album Wildlife.

I feel like since 2011-2012 the tour has been marketed to a certain type of crowd with the same style of bands with some acoustic sprinkled in there. There's not much variety anymore

 

I mean, before it was mainly target at hardcore/metalcore fans for a while. If anything there's more diversity now

 

It was 100% directed at metalcore kids but it dove straight into a different path. Its definitely mainly two types of music that is the same target audience

 

Yup, I'm sold now. Totally worth the price of admission.

My friend tipped me off on La Dispute a couple weeks ago and it was enough to make me want to go this year. They're definitely off to a better start for me than they were last year.

 

This is amazing so far

 

Anyone remember who the first three bands were last year?

 

1. Aaron West & the Roaring Twenties
2. The Copyrights
3. Chasing Safety (who dropped)

 

The Cardboard Swords is today's band.

 

Alcoa just got added. Really hope that means Defeater is playing

 

In 2013, both Code Orange and Adventures played, so it's happened before.

 

Defeater isn't kicking anymore I'm pretty sure

I think they'll still do some from time to time. Definitely going to slow down probably

 

so much for pushing for a more diverse lineup, eh?

 

So far 2/5 bands have women, not a bad start

They've only announced 5 bands, way too early to be knocking them for something you can't be sure of yet.

 

Yeah, the lineup is a slow burn. Give it time.

 

I'm all for diversity but you're definitely being cynical this early on

 

Just checked out The Cardboard Swords because of this. Pretty good.
