I seem to value the bands/music and you seem to value the band's beliefs/values. Just a difference of opinions.
i value them both very equally. i want great music that also leads to positive change and influence in both social and musical realms
You know it's possible to do both right? I'm sorry that there's people that can't with good conscious support shitty people that promote rape culture and say ignorant things. You fail to grasp this concept on a consistent basis and continue to be closed-minded at every possible chance you get.
Also worth noting the language you take to express your "differences in opinion" is often standoffish, juvenile, trollish, and fundamentally flawed at an intellectual level.
And now you resort to making jokes about a serious topic? You really need to think about the shit you've said.
Stop mocking the idea. And there's no need to talk to other users like this. Inclusiveness in the scene is important for women & minorities because they're less represented. And because they tend to suffer more (emotionally, physically, discrimination, etc), it's important to raise awareness about these issues, and promote lesser known artists in those groups as well. It's up for debate whether the music is good or not, as with any other artist or band. If you don't want to have the discussion then don't, but there's no need to talk like this about it at all.
I remember that. Sleeping with Sirens cancelled last minute and Motionless in White was added last minute with the Norma Jean package in 2011.
I'm too far away for it to matter but Cayetana mentioned that their new album should be coming out in April/May which is perfect timing for them to be on the lineup. Sports would also be sick, I'd love to see that band get some more attention.
Yeah exactly! These are all bands that ~should~ be assumed for something like this!!!! And I hope that's the direction they head in.
i'm not entirely sure that's feasible anymore, since i'm pretty sure she's on 4AD and that's out of the scene, she'll likely be on the bigger festival circuit this year
Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking too. I'd really love to see Bled continue to pursue fewer rowdy acts in general - some of the best sets I've seen at Bled Fest have been just that (Kevin Devine, Koji, etc.)
