I guess his personal name recognition is big enough to promote it like that, which is kind of wild to think about.
I like it, would be better if it was Jack Antonoff & THE Bleachers but it's not how the band's nomenclature is
My guess is that he's making the point for this album cycle that Bleachers is no longer a solo project with hired guns, Bleachers is the band and Jack is part of it. I know that his core band performed on most of the last album, but maybe they have a bigger hand here so he wants to make it clear that Bleachers is not just Jack Antonoff anymore. That's just my guess
Bleachers are absolutely one of my favorite live bands, they always knock it completely out of the park, the most recent tour was as great as ever. This live album is..... fine, haha. I think I hate live albums
I'm not really a live album person either, but I can actually see myself going back to this one because there is something about Bleachers live that just can't be captured on a typical record
I don't know, if I didn't know anything about the band, I feel like I would think "Jack Antonoff and Bleachers" was more about Jack with hired guns behind him than simply "Bleachers", which just sounds like a band
Right, but in my theory it's not for people who don't follow the band, it's for band fans. Who knows...
The clips of the new song on socials sounds like production is the same as this album so strap in everyone !
Hmmm just listened to that insta reel, maybe that's from a live version recorded in studio? maybe? we'll see....
The main horn part is sooooo good. Also, the guitar sounds phenomenal, some of the production concerns already feel a little resolved. Not my favorite Bleachers single by any means, but fun as hell. Cannot wait for the album.
