Yea last time they played the gorge and it was like 25% full , it was lovely but I’m kinda surprised they wanna come back
Welp if the album shows get postponed the obvious Boston reschedule is a week I’ll be gone so that’s not great! Crossing my fingers this goes off in March as planned. That Thompson’s point show is gonna be awesome gonna try to convince everyone I know to go to that without me
Yes they do. The Grand Lodge is being turned into an outdoor summer music venue starting this summer. It gives Mcmenamins a venue on each side of town so it makes sense. I’m excited as someone who lives on the west side. It was announced a few months ago. This is the first show announced the the venue.
This was better than the Kacey Musgraves cover, but I don't understand the need to cut the songs down to 2 minutes.
Talk shows are like a well oiled machine, they only have X amount of time for each segment of the shows and usually follow that to a T I feel but I would love some full Kelly covers, maybe she could upload some full ones on YouTube every so often
I haven't seen the show, but I would be surprised if there were 1-2 minutes from the other parts that would be more essential than the parts of the songs being cut out (and shocked if all 40-41 minutes were). It's not like it's a live show.
Hey Folks - I have two tickets to the upcoming Bleachers shows in Boston on Thursday / Friday but I sadly, cannot make it out to Boston for the shows despite best efforts. Would anybody here be interested in them? Happy to get rid of them for face value otherwise will post on stubhub
I keep forgetting the shows are tomorrow. Super excited, and can’t wait to see what the new venue is like. Already stressing about parking.
Quoting you in hopes you’re already inside and see this - this line is insane, has music started yet?
so sorry, just seeing this! That line was wild but moved relatively quick. Hope you didn’t miss any of the show!
Two really wonderful shows for two albums that continue to grow in my book. I thought I liked Strange Desire better, but I’m not 100% sure after last night, Gone Now is just so much fun and the best songs are as good or better. Surprise highlights were the reprises each night, which it seems they’ve never played live before and they absolutely nailed including the Yoko part! Also really dug the newish song they had in the encore both nights, it will definitely appeal to people who felt like the new album is too muted compared to the first two. Really great and varied crowd, too - lots more non parent olds in Boston than at SoTC. I went alone to both because none of my friends give enough of a shit that I wanted to sing along as hard as I did in front of them lol, but I regret it a little as last night would have easily had anyone sold.
