I like "How Dare You," "Chinatown," "Don't Go Dark," and "45" all a lot more than "Stop Making This Hurt."
The live show really made this album grow for me still can’t tell you what the closer sounds like lol. so fucking quiet
Seeing these songs live has definitely brought them more to life. HDYWM, Chinatown, SMTH, and Big Life are up there with the best they've done and all are amazing live. 91 is a pretty cool opener and it's cool seeing them open with something more understated than usual. I got there right when Bleachers was starting and it was kind of cool like walking in and getting situated during it. Felt really mood setting Secret Life and 45 are both good songs, but I enjoy them on the record more than live. It didn't help everyone was talking during 45 last night - but I agree that the stretch of the set that it's in is a real dip in the energy, so it's kind of understandable. Don't Go Dark is also kind of whatever for me, both live and on the album. I do enjoy the closer, but it's not something I need to ever see live. Bleachers live is still a pretty much unparalleled experience, and this album gave a handful more songs that should be set staples for years to come. That's all I'm really asking for.
Four months in, I'm probably at: Stop Making This Hurt _ 91 45 _ How Dare You Want More Chinatown Don't Go Dark _ _ _ What'd I Do With All This Faith? Secret Life Big Life Strange Behavior
45 HDYWM Stop - Don’t Go Dark 91 - Secret Life - - Chinatown - - - - Big Life Strange Behavior What’d I Do The bottom 3 are throwaways, I could take or leave Chinatown as a song (I appreciate it for the spectacle), but the top 6 I all think are truly great. Tbh my opinion on any of the songs hasn’t changed much though 91 was definitely elevated seeing it live
Website is fucking up for me, and the Friday night link keeps bouncing back to the Thursday show. Didn’t realize this until AFTER I hit purchase, and now have four tickets to the first show, and none to the second.
I don't know if 2 day passes were ever available. I checked at 1015 and they were already showing none, which on one hand could mean they sold out instantly but that feels unlikely with both Thursday and Friday still available right now separately
there was an option for a two day pass. They didn’t seem to be working today, but maybe when the general onsale starts?
tonight we’re releasing a Spotify exclusive ep - live at electric lady. a collection of live recordings that were made over the past year in studio D, on the roof and around the building, including tracks from ttsoosn featuring Bruce Springsteen + St. Vincent, plus our cover of ‘drive’ by The Cars … an entirely different sound from our album. available tonight at midnight local time!!!
Finally got an email about the tour vinyl. It's pretty annoying to have to pay for shipping/tax instead of just handing them a cool $30 bill in person. but i did it anyhow
