Thanks! (I found it listed at my local shop earlier, so I'm picking it up there, but hopefully this helps others)
that’s ducking crazy that Strange Behavior is randomly coming on here. Not sure how it could improve over the Steel Train version but I’m here for it.
Whoaaa I didn't even see the tracklist. Will be super interesting if it's a new version of the song and not just the same name
While the lyric is “strange behavior” the actual tracklist title is just “behavior.” Makes me think they’re different.
This is a great point - this morning I played it in the car immediately after the new Twenty One Pilots song and was shocked at how quiet the Bleachers track sounds in comparison. Intentional by Jack I'm sure, but also very curious.
He’s really burying the vocals on all the tracks so far. It’s interesting because I’m not quite sure why. I lean toward wanting to hear them more “classic” but also like all the songs anyway.
Trying to hold off on the new song so the album feels as new possible. But 45 has really become one of my favorite Bleachers songs, it's so great.
I'll admit that the production/mixing on these three tracks are my least favorite aspect of them. I appreciate Jack doing something different, but it's not quite as pleasing to me as his big bombastic style from the first two albums.
I dig the production choices here but admit I'm a little bummed itunes seems to confirm the 7" versions are the album versions, would have loved a massive take on 45.
I find the production choices on these tracks so frustrating. Especially because Jack is like THE producer of the moment so obviously it’s 100% intentional that everything sounds mixed weird.
I don't really like the album covers. new song is great. mixing is interesting but I like the way it feels like it gets closer as it goes.
Found the artist pre-sale code and snagged tickets to the Newport date. Excited to finally catch Bleachers live and check out the new venue.
Loving the new single. Jack is a master at the scream-sing-along lyric and this song is going to be amazing live! Glad I grabbed tix for NYC, I've been looking forward to another Bleachers show since the moment I left the last Bleachers show I went to.
Stop Making This Hurt is definitely my favorite so far. Chinatown and 45 are both great, and I appreciate that they switch it up a little, but this one just really hits that Bleachers sweet spot.
