Dirty Hit keeps changing PR teams. I haven't heard it. Looks like there's 21 new songs across all the "I learned it from Taylor" records.

 

alma mater is really good!!!! really interesting song imo (and more compelling than modern girl which is good but a little by the numbers bleachers for me)

It's interesting to me seeing this release have 21 songs with the bonus tracks included, because I recall a screenshot track listing Jack shared before the release of Sadness that appeared to have around 16-17 songs, and then the album came out and there were only 10 on it. Wouldn't be surprised if some of these new songs have been around for awhile.

Not crazy about either single but couldn’t resist a $14 signed cd

 

And one of the bonus tracks is called The Big Bad Turnpike Ghost!

 

I see the main 14 songs, then 4 more on Dirty Hit vinyl, where are the other 3?

Alma Mater is fine. Horrifically weird single choice, but I dig the vocal and synth production flourishes a bit. The clicky drum sound that comes in halfway through is grating, though.

My hype for this feels like it should be higher. Had this thought Jack wants to be Bruce Springsteen but is landing closer to Billy Joel on Modern Girl that I can't shake lol.

 

Man the alt covers are so much better than the BW one of jack cheesing haha

I love the alternative covers, but I’m not preordering a Bleachers album again after how disappointed I was with TTSOOSN.

 

TTSOOSN is so underrated

 

I listened to it again on my commute this morning and it’s okay. But it’s also something I don’t really need on vinyl. I have the leather jacket variant in my “to sell” stack.

 

Yeah, can't get on the underrated train with that one.

ya it’s def a minor letdown compared to the first two but it surprises me the degree to how much it seems to have knocked the band back for some people here. Like half of it is legit great
