The more I listen to this, the more certain I am that it's my favorite thing Jack has ever done. Something about it is just so poignant to me.
I know this is such a longshot but if anyone did happen to have an extra ticket to Bleachers at Salt Shed in Chicago and wanted to make me a very happy person... you know what to do. I can't believe I'm facing a $200 ticket to see Bleachers.
I’ve gone back to this a ton, but it falls off quite a bit for me in the last third. Up through Isimo it’s excellent and Call Me After Midnight is one of my favorites, but a lot of that last handful of songs feels forgettable to me. Hope they grow on me at some point.
didn't have plans to get tickets, then my brother in law texted me 30 min before it went on sale and said we should go, so here I am with tickets to their LA show in Sept. LET'S GOOOOOOO
Yeah, "Margo" is very cool and could have easily found a place on the album. He definitely made the right call with the rest of these, and I'm not even sure "Drug Free America" should have made the cut for the B-sides release.
