    Didn’t expect it to be a slower peek into the new album. I hope the new record will be louder—figuratively and literally. Way too much gas in the tank for this band to be taking the quiet, garbled, soft, unintelligible, boring route home.

    Exactly. Last album just didn't do it for me. Dude has so many awesome melodies and fun songs in him that I hope he goes that route more again.

    Jack is clearly capable of writing incredibly strong pop hooks, but always chooses to go the opposite route. Lean into your pop mastery, Antonoff!!
