The last thing Nate appeared on was that one track on the "Hamilton" mixtape. He had a kid in February, so I'm sure he's concentrating hard on being a dad. fun's been using the "we'll get back to it when we feel inspired" line since they went on hiatus, so I wouldn't expect anything for a long while.
After watching some live videos (that I honestly thought were pretty bad) I wasn't sure what to expect from them tonight, but wow I was completely blown away. I don't think I've ever seen a band that looked like they were having that much fun on stage. If you get an opportunity to see this band play I urge you to take it
This is getting me way too excited to see them. Definitely a top 5 live band for me. They sound so powerful live and, as was said, you can literally feel the passion coming from the stage. Less than a month to go!
The extended "Like a River Runs" when I saw them a couple years ago is one of my favorite live performances ever. The whole show was great but those 10 minutes were something truly special.
They're a fantastic live band. Funny story, their stage right guitar threw his guitar in the air, missed it, and knocked out his teeth at the show I attended a couple years ago. Jack COULD NOT stop laughing haha.
Apparently there's a gig in Boston tonight? It requires you download some Google app or something, though. I'd probably try if I didn't have a ton of school work.
Jack seems like a normal kinda guy. Kinda like Rivers from Weezer - just a guy you could sit at the bar with, kwim?
Not to be all "LA" annoying, but I've actually met Jack a few times and chatted with him for extended periods of time and can confirm he is a "normal guy" whatever the hell that means, haha
Yeah this is a weird conversation...calling people "normal." There's a weird exclusivity to that word and it's kinda uncomfortable.
