OK, one last thing. This is me and The Format at their like... 3rd to last show ever View attachment 10495
I'm so confused right now honestly. I love Would It Kill You, but I had no idea it was anywhere near the same circle as Steel Train or the Format. Very interesting to me. And I'll have to check it out then! I never really hear people talk about them so I wasn't sure if it was just kind of a normal album.
The Format / Limbeck / Hellgoodbye tour is one of my best musical memories, I went to it two nights in a row in two different cities! Anathallo had like, 15 members and their song structures were all over the place, really diverse and takes you on a trip. Here's a really good example of what to expect
I have to check out Limbeck too. I think I have one song of theirs on my phone. And I wonder if that's why Anathallo doesn't get that much attention compared to Steel Train or The Format from newer fun. fans (because it's not really "Andrew's" band, but just something he was a part of). I can't even find it on Apple Music. That song is pretty cool though.
Lemme know if you want me to send you any Anathallo stuff, if you want to dig in. And Limbeck are so cool too, super cool stuff with a slight folk/country tinge, just upbeat enjoyable stuff
I swear I saw Steel Train open for someone once. It's not in my Concert Archive but I know I've known the name and I'm pretty sure they were an opener. Full confession, I never liked Fun. I know Fun. opened for Panic! at the Disco once but I showed up during their last song. Then "We Are Young" annoyed me from the start, from the very first time I heard it on a radio station music survey, and I never wanted to get into them. Now Bleachers has become one of my favorite bands, in a very short period of time, and these 2 albums are very important to me. Funny the way things work out.
Do you have any idea what is missing from the set? I know "Shadow" w/ Carly, because it was previously uploaded by someone, but since taken down. Otherwise I don't know what else they played
I had no idea this was starting to appear out there. Too tired to watch them now but I can't wait! I'm sure Jack made these songs even more special.
Completely get that! That's a once in a lifetime experience! Pretty sure I told you to choose Bill! :)
Seriously, now I'm even sadder. I got placed on a job in Albany all next week and I won't be able to go...I'm v sad/disappointed
