Shadow was so much fun, but so many teenage girls there for Khalid clearly did not understand or enjoy Titus Andronicus, haha.
To be fair, they are on extremely different sides of the musical spectrum and I wouldn't expect most people to enjoy or understand Titus haha
I was right up front for the tour opener on Friday; it was awesome. Love how the show opens with jack in the costume from the album cover
Khalid was cool and all, but I could have sworn he was lip syncing some of his songs or at least singing along with a recorded vocal. Like the vocal lines - including occasional verses - were being "sung," but he was not singing them at all times. Hard to explain, but it seemed off to me.
So stoked that Dream of Mickey Mantle is in the setlist now. Can't wait to see it. Supposed to go to the 2 Florida shows this weekend with my aunt...hoping everything is still a go after the hurricane.
Yeah Shadow was awesome. I dunked Jack's dad in the dunk tank - immediately after he failed to do so himself.
The version of Like a River Runs he has been playing reminds me of the Sia cover and it wrecks me every time.
These idiots were loudly talking during it the other night and I wanted to turn around and be like THIS IS ABOUT HIS SISTER DYING YOU RUDE PIECES OF SHITTTT
That's the worst. It was certainly a different crowd than when I saw him in June. Different setting so I guess expected.
We had some lousy people behind us for Andrew McMahon that night, too. They turned their backs and yelled at each other through most of his set, and were trying to take pictures with everyone around them, trying to be funny. I wanted to say "I drove six hours for this leave me alone so I can enjoy it!" but I'm so non-confrontational, haha
Yea I just don't get it. And I know it was a festival, but it still seems like a pretty niche festival where most the people would know Bleachers & Andrew. Sucks, but it's usually not worth engaging with those people. They'll act like they don't see what they could possibly be doing wrong and may go out of their way to annoy you after you say something.
Love the stripped down version of these, and the way he almost just speaks the words. Cool performance.
I like the emotion of the stripped down version of Like a River Runs but I really would rather see the regular version (just because I never saw them before Gone Now).
