I'm going to see them alone on Sunday. Granted this time it's because I'm in Detroit for work, but I also saw them alone in Chicago once because none of my usual Bleachers friends could go. I still had a great time, but I know not everyone's the same so I get it if being alone ruins it for someone else. I just couldn't recommend skipping Bleachers though.
I was originally going to the Cambridge show alone tonight, but found out two of my friends will be there now. I don't mind going to GA shows solo, though EDIT: I was not expecting to adore this show as much as I did. A perfect venue for the band. If you read my older post about Like a River Runs, you know that song holds such a special place in my heart, and I just sobbed during it tonight. It was beautiful. Also, jack let it slip they'd be back in November!
Wait, what? I was literally a few seconds from clicking purchase online. I came in here to post how excited I was. What happened?!
Just saw his note. From my experience, when bands reschedule shows, they usually put on even better shows, and sometimes throw in special songs we wouldn't have gotten on the original date. Now I'll buy two tickets and not go alone haha
"i am so sorry to have to move the rochester show. i've been feeling not great for a few days and i woke up today in really bad shape. i would only move a show if i really can't give you guys what you deserve and unfortunately that's where i'm at today. the good news is we were able to get a new date very quickly. all tickets will be honored for october 11th and i promise you the absolute best show i have in me. thanks for understanding rochester. i'll see you october 11th for the show and a garbage plate"
The rescheduled date is the same day as this Bill Murray show I have tickets for. Now i have to choose. ugh. As much as I love Bleachers this is probably the only chance I'll have in my whole life to be in the same room as Bill Murray.
In the video above, Jack mentions his "friend Nico, who plays trumpet" playing the trumpet in "Goodmorning" at this point, I take this as confirmation it's Nico Segal on that track, and anywhere else on the album. Though I don't see it credited anywhere online currently
He's in the liner notes on the album for both goodmorning and as a co-producer and on trumpet for Foreign Girls
it's picky, but I really don't like how Jack sounds in Everybody lost Somebody when he goes super high with the "lost in a world without you," it takes the song down from being a favorite
