UPDATE: looks like it'll be outside of the venue at 2pm today. is it free to go into the room, or do you have to have tickets to the show in order to get in? i may run over there at 2 if it's free.
i'm waiting to get the final ok from the girlfriend. i think she's getting us tickets. but i don't want to buy them if she is. haha.
I was supposed to get a stream today but it hasn't come in yet and I'm sad. Was hoping it would come in before a long roadtrip this weekend
You made the correct decision! Hand's down one of the best live shows around. Jack is a seasoned professional at this point, and the new songs sound so good live (at least Don't Take the Money and Everybody Lost Somebody). Have fun! (And I think Jack's room is completely free with or without tickets).
He's premiering the new song now on Instagram. Acoustic in his room haha. P.S. More sax. Edit: Song is great of course.
Me in Jack's room. It was pretty surreal being in there. I remember watch the video down below back in high school all the time on a Drive Thru Records DVD that I had, where they're performing that song live in Jack's bedroom. And like, I WAS JUST IN THAT ROOM! Pretty crazy! And while everyone else was taking pictures of themselves on his bed, I was looking at his awesome CD collection, haha. I heard a couple of the new Bleachers tracks in there, which were pretty great.
New York Times profile on Jack, a pretty good read. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/24/arts/music/jack-antonoff-bleachers-lorde-interview.html
It's going to be hard for any album to beat this for me, the 4 songs alone are my favorite album of the year
This article made me finally acknowledge that fun. is probably really never coming back. This song made me ok with that. (Which I obviously wasn't actually able to wait to listen to).
Yeah, definitely comes off like he has no interest in going back to that band. That said, new song is awesome.
Is there another song out besides Don't Take the Money, Everybody Loves Somebody, and I Miss Those Days? So far I enjoy Somebody and I Miss Those Days more.
