Toronto show really struggling for ticket sales, like 20% sold (16k cap venue), BUT they have the $30 CAD deal right now for it...$22 USD for Bleachers tickets after fees...quite the deal if you're within driving distance.
Going to a listening party on Saturday and look forward to hearing almost all of it for the first time I still feel like this should've been released like a month ago haha
Another beautiful bleachers record imo upstairs at els gotta be his most fun closer by a mile speaking of fun….”we should talk” has to either be about Nate or Andrew
Oh my god I somehow already forgot this was out this week. Gonna listen right now and I am so excited. You bumping this thread literally just made my day.
looking forward to this tomorrow! I haven't spent a lot of time with the singles but I liked what I heard. excited to go in pretty fresh, I loved the last record
Probably the most interested I've been in a bleachers album in a while. Don't think I ever even finished the last two.
I thought it sounded really nice at the listening party last week and am excited to dig in more closely! The black and white pressing turned out pretty sick.
Really nice first listen, I realize I probably will never really get anything like the first two albums again, but I think this might be the best version of current Bleachers, some really cool stuff here. Just missin those big anthems
I would certainly love for him to remember someday that the best song he ever wrote was Bullet and try to hit that energy but what can you do
"Bullet" is a solid blueprint for a few great Bleachers songs, but I think every song on Gone Now is better than it
My LP arrived in the mail today and I think the version of "dirty wedding dress" on mine is different from the single that's been on Spotify...the line about the critic is "cause I referenced him somewhere" instead of "referenced him one time"...then it's something about the "chain of command" instead of "I'm a lone working class man." And maybe it's just in my head but I think it's like a different take because some of the vocal takes just sound different in parts.
Also the track listing is different (assuming it's to fit it better on the vinyl) than what's listed on Spotify. "i can't believe you're gone" is in between "you and forever" and "dirty wedding dress"
All of those songs are still on the same side, though, so I don't think it's a matter of things fitting. Weird.
