Real Estate may have put out two too many albums (your mileage may vary on which two), but they still absolutely rule live. An odd choice for 2nd billing in 2026, especially with the caliber of openers Jack has assembled for the tour, but a perfect band to see as the sun is setting over Stone Pony. It’s too bad the drive definitely isn’t in the cards for me, would def rather see Bleachers there than inside in Boston.
I’d go just for Bleachers and Grace Ives. How much does something like this cost? Probably not worth driving down from Boston but it’s a little tempting.
Yea honestly I doubt it’d be much more than the Boston shows. It also will be mostly the same set, though. I went once and I’m glad i did - if the weather is nice it’s great to be outside and not far from the ocean, plus something to be said for seeing a band on their home field basically. But if you’re not into the whole lineup there’s not a huge difference from going to your own stop on the tour
Bike Routes! Their new song from their upcoming album has huge Bleachers vibes and features Jake Clemons from the E Street Band on sax. Worth taking a listen. The issue with Asbury is that hotels are SO expensive on big show nights bc there are so few of them. They also pack the people in there and sightlines aren’t the best.
it kinda drives me nuts that Jack literally won’t say Nate’s name. “My friends” “the singer”. Never his name.
I'll still call the Grimes song the slightest bit of a step down from the rest, but it's a nearly perfect album. His work with Taylor arguably perfects that sound, and I won't fight anyone who prefers Gone Now, but the Bleachers debut is very close to if not my outright favorite release in the Antonoff Extended Cinematic Universe.
