Griffin said slumdog was the highest grossing best picture nominee until oppie? Uhh what about avatar??
That would still be wrong, because Titanic exists. (Haven’t listened to the episode yet, so I don’t know the context.)
I phrased it weird. He meant oppie was the highest since slumdog. But he probably said winner not nominee.
I saw John Carter in theaters in college. I don’t remember anything about it. Trying to watch it again now and it’s so bad.
I’m bad at remembering these shorts. But I think the one I remember liking most is Day and Night, or whatever it was called? Just ‘cause the visual gimmick looked really cool in the theater in 3d.
I saw a used John Carter 3D Blu-ray the other day at a Vintage Stock. Maybe I should go back for it. For fun
I’m like halfway through John Carter and it’s not bad! It honestly looks a lot better than most current big budget cgi heavy movies
watched 2 Blank Check covered movies this weekend that I had previously skipped Park Chan-Wook's Stoker - fun! sexy and strange! Elaine May's Mikey & Nicky - appreciated it more than I enjoyed it, also as a non-ball knower i was unaware that Peter Falk had a prosthetic eye Finding Dory episode was also quite good
yeah i saw your glowing letterboxd post about it lol knowing some of the behind the stuff with May just letting the camera run and the performers kinda go for it in their own way is cool
