Don’t think Lynne Ramsey is for me. Ratcatcher was whatever. Didn’t like you were never really here and die my love was fine.
I’ve seen Kevin, you were never really here and die my love but don’t really have any context for her career
My wife loves to dramatically say “we need to talk about Kevin” because of our dog Kevin but she does *not* know what the movie is about
The guest doesn’t really add anything and doesn’t seem familiar with the show (he’s a news commentator guy and a “humorist” who hasn’t been on the show again since that episode in 2019) and also i just think the show is way better post lockdown than it was during and before covid
The first episode I listened to was the “Titanic” two-parter (which is hilarious to think they used to break episodes up). A really fun time. Everyone is in the zone. Was a great intro to the show.
Carpenter one may have been the one I was most hyped to get into because that first run of his is so insanely good
She’s talented, but there’s a nihilism and overwhelming sinister feeling to all of her movies that’s just not my thing. I hate “We Have to Talk About Kevin.”
haven’t seen that one but die my love and Ratcatcher definitely have that. Ratcatcher is just relentlessly bleak.
