I still have the man who wasn’t there and intolerable cruelty. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen the ladykillers but cannot 100% remember.
I'm through Intolerably Cruelty on the rewatch, and I thought I'd seen that movie, but remembered basically nothing from it. Was pleasantly surprised, given that it's generally ranked toward the bottom of their filmography. I thought it was really fun. The Man Who Wasn't There was a movie I watched in college and did not enjoy, and I was hoping I'd like it more this time around. I did, but it falls apart hard for me in the last half hour. Very handily my least favorite of the first 10.
Within the last year or so I’ve rewatch Fargo, no country, burn after reading and inside llewyn davis so I’ll probably skip those on my rewatch but rewatch the rest. Excited to rewatch true grit because I only saw it in theaters.
griff says it’s a top 10 movie for him all time so he wanted to have guests he was comfortable with on wiges also said it’s in his lovely wife natalie’s top 10
Now the Doughboys need to have David and Griffin back on to do four hours on, like, Fazoli’s or something
Based on when this was recorded, I’m pretty sure they went to planet Hollywood in nyc the night after this convo but of course that Doughboys episode came out first
Obviously the logistics of it must be annoying but their recording schedule drives me nuts sometimes. I listened to Jurassic Park with Fennessey a couple weeks ago and they seemingly recorded it like 7 months before it came out
it makes more sense for big pic to me considering they’re typically recording around schedules of screeners so they might see it at a premiere two months before the movie drops
