i mean, it would be completely different than the entire history of the show if they did just a random one off episode for a new movie from a director they've never covered they did like the entire MCU on the patreon. they do most stuff like this there.
david is so grumpy lol, griffin telling this lovely story about how it lined up getting hodgeman on this pod and he’s just scrooge mcducking it up
Giffin is such a strange host because I love the podcast, but I feel like if I knew Griffin in real life, he’d be insufferable.
i disagree. he can annoy me on the pod but i feel like he’d be relatively chill/normal irl. most podcasters are a heightened version of themselves on mic lol.
saw griffin IRL at the scott pilgrim comic con panel. Idk if he hosted any other panels, or what he was doing at sdcc
Barton Fink was one of the films I watched in my very first high school film studies class, so I have such a soft spot for it. Excited to dive into the episode.
Didn’t love the hudsucker proxy. My least favorite Coen bros movie but I still have 2 or 3 I haven’t seen.
Hudsucker was a blind spot for me as well, but I really loved it. Excited to hear Griffin lay out the case for why it’s his favorite.
Really liked Hudsucker but its not like a top 5 Coens for me. I saw a letterboxd review that said something along the lines of "the closest we ever got to a live action Simpsons episode." Checks out its one of Griffin's all timers
