Excited to start this. Really enjoyed the Heckerling series because she has such a unique career of two iconic classics, a megahit and some truly dreary misfires.
I’ve seen almost all of them, but it’s been 15 years for the majority. Should be fun to revisit. I remembered almost nothing about Blood Simple.
I have 10 to see including Honey Don’t, and I’m planning to rewatch O Brother and No Country before those episodes.
Need to see: Millers Crossing Hudsucker Ladykillers Man Who Wasn’t There Intolerable Cruelty Tragedy of Macbeth Honey, Don’t Millers and Hudsucker feel like pretty glaring omissions so I’ll def be watching those asap
I thought I had a lot more gaps than I do. Only haven’t seen Ladykillers, Intolerable Cruelty, and The Man Who Wasn’t There
ladykillers is one of the first viewing experiences i can remember from directors i love and just thinking it absolutely sucked. haven’t revisited since then.
rewatched raising arizona tonight and loved it even more than the last time. excited for the episode and to see who the guest is
I remember thinking the Marlon Wayans character was insufferable. He just rambles an endless amount of profanity.
the hardest i laughed during Raising Arizona is when Hi is fighting John Goodman's character, he raises his hands over his head to hit John and scrapes his knuckles on the popcorn ceiling and just screams in agony
was the "escape from prison in the rain" thing like, an established trope? i feel like Shawshank is the most well known example of that but came later obviously
I do sometimes but him and griffin are annoying the first hour or so. Also the Superman 2025 ep is only on patreon??
